Parallel Interface – Perhaps the simplest of communications interfaces, data is communicated in a Parallel fashion down individual signal wires. Data can be transmitted in Code styles of Binary, BCD, Gray or Excess 3. It is important to realize that this type of communication is not preferred. Invalid bit combinations can occur when using multi-step codes such as Binary or BCD, similarly with Gray Code, when there is maximum position roll over.
