Analog – Analog signals provide Position or Velocity feedback by varying the amount of Voltage or Current to the controller. Choosing a 0(4) – 20 mA or a 0 – 10 Vdc signal will depend on the application and the environment the unit is being installing in. Current signals can be transmitted over a longer distance, however Voltage signals are less susceptible to electrical noise. A high quality, properly shielded cable will help ensure a high quality signal.
