TR Electronic Releases a New Mid-Range Laser Distance Product to Complement its Industry Leading Laser Distance solutions.

The LHT 9 sensor from TR Electronic provides a new option for mid-range distance measurement applications requiring discrete or analog outputs. With exceptional color and surface independence, the LHT Laser distance sensor operates at distances up to 10m.

Laser distance sensors measure distances down to the millimeter, even over large operating distances. Most laser sensors work on the principle of the speed of light and provide either discrete outputs or analog outputs. For optimal functionality, the LHT 9 is available with both outputs. The analog output is linearized across the entire operating range with a scalable output of 0-10V or 4-20ma. When programmed with specific set points, the laser distance sensor operates in background suppression mode. The LHT has been developed with a visible red laser light, for easy alignment and is rated at IP67. An integrated 4-digit display is also standard for easy operation.

Thanks to their high reproducibility and accuracy, these distance sensors are used to position forklifts in high bay warehouses, control process speeds and protect against collision in overhead conveyors.

The LHT 9 complements TR’s existing laser distance products which includes short-range and long-range, high-precision lasers capable of measurement from 0 to 200m. TR’s laser based devices are also available with high-speed interfaces such as SSI or fieldbus technologies to provide the necessary response time for precision measurement. TR Electronic is a leader in the development of Industrial Ethernet laser distance products, supporting industry standards such as Ethernet/IP and ProfiNet.
